Preliminary enquiries are enquiries from the cantonal authorities regarding wind energy areas in structure plans. These enquiries are usually submitted to Guichet Unique during the drafting or revision of cantonal structure plans, i.e. before they are officially submitted to ARE for a preliminary or final review.
We recommend that cantons submit a preliminary enquiry before definitively designating wind energy areas in their structure plans, particularly to clarify civil and military aviation safety issues.
