Pipeline installations subject to cantonal supervision may pose the same risks as larger pipelines. For this reason, special authorisation must be given for their construction and operation. The relevant legal provisions are found in the Pipelines Act (Art. 41 to 43: Pipeline installations under cantonal supervision).
