The SFOE provides subsidiary support for research projects that correspond to the priorities of its current Energy Research Concept (2025 to 2028). The main focus is on application-oriented and development-related research projects.
Since 2021, projects organised by consortia which deal with central research issues relating to Energy Strategy 2050 are supported by the SWEET programme.
