From 1 January 2025, it will be possible to apply to the Swiss Federal Office of Energy for project planning contributions for new hydroelectric power plants or significant expansions of hydroelectric power plants. This applies retroactively to project planning services provided from 3 April 2020. The project planning contribution amounts to a maximum of 40% of the eligible project planning costs and will be deducted from any later investment contribution.
