The groundwater in Switzerland's unconsolidated rock strata contains a large but still underutilised energy source: the heat in the groundwater is a valuable renewable energy source that can be used for heating. With groundwater heat pump systems, the heat can be extracted from the groundwater and transferred to the heating system.
This data set contains the maximum sustainable heat that can be extracted from groundwater in the medium term.
