Overall energy statistics
The overall energy statistics provide comprehensive annual energy balances for Switzerland from 1980 onwards. They also provide consistent time series, some of which date back to 1910. The statistics cover production, import/export, storage, conversion and consumption for all energy sources across the household, industry, services and transport sectors. In addition, energy trade and final consumer expenditure are reported. The factsheet contains further details regarding scope, frequency and data sources.
An initial estimate of the previous year’s energy consumption is published annually in March.
Individual data sets on natural gas and biogas are published monthly.
