Key data for vehicles
The Federal Energy Efficiency Ordinance calls for the annual input and evaluation of the energy consumption of new cars in Switzerland. The key data for the new car fleet for each year have been evaluated by canton since 2014. The most important figures such as number of registered vehicles, proportion of all-wheel drive vehicles, fuel consumption, unladen weight and CO2 emissions, are calculated and displayed in the form of a map. And since 2013, parallel and private imports have also been reported. Figures for drives of all types are presented in the report in litres of petrol equivalents. Selected statistics relating to better usability have also been recorded since 2013 in the form of an Excel file.
