Minimum requirements for commercial kitchen appliances
In future, hobs, deep fryers and salamanders are to consume less electricity. The Federal Council has adopted minimum energy efficiency requirements for these three electricity-intensive appliance types. The requirements come into force on 1 January 2024. There is no energy label for these appliances.
Switzerland is taking a pioneering role here, as the EU does not yet have any requirements regarding energy efficiency of commercial kitchen appliances.
