Accident procedure

Some of the pipeline installations that are subject to federal supervision are covered by the Major Accidents Ordinance (MAO) of 1 April 2013. This is intended to minimise and maintain risk at an acceptable level. If the risk is unacceptable, the SFOE orders the necessary additional safety measures in order to achieve the necessary risk reduction.
