Electronic transmission of documents

Instead of sending signed documents by post, under certain circumstances it is now possible to transmit correspondence electronically. For example, you can send requests and complaints to the Swiss Federal Office of Energy or receive items such as rulings, etc., via an SSL-secured web environment.

Here you have the choice of two options:

  • For formal submissions, transfer can be effected by means of a SuisseID (Swiss standard for digital identity). For this purpose you first have to open a SuisseID account (see link below). 
  • For informal submissions you can use encrypted transfer with or without electronically signed documents and without the need for a SuisseID.

After completing your input you will be asked to save an electronically signed and time-stamped receipt as a PDF.
