Potential of small hydropower plants in Switzerland

The geodata product, “Potential of small hydropower plants in Switzerland”, is the result of an analysis that was supported by a geographic information system and carried out within the scope of a research project entitled “Survey of the potential of small hydropower plants in Switzerland”, which estimated the hydropower production potential of all natural flowing bodies of water in Switzerland.

The geometries are based on the network of bodies of water in accordance with the swisstopo product, “VECTOR25”.
