Various instruments are available to support geothermal projects for electricity production and the direct use of geothermal energy for heat generation.
Contributions for the prospecting and development phases of projects to use geothermal energy directly for heat generation have been provided since 1 January 2018.
Contributions are also paid for the prospecting and development phases of geothermal projects for electricity generation. Contributions for downstream plant construction began in 2023. Geothermal guarantees are also granted.
