Basically, a single glance is enough to assess the efficiency, battery life or repairability of a smartphone or tablet. The energy label shows a scale with energy efficiency classes, with green being the best and red the worst.
In Switzerland, all smartphones and tablets sold must have an energy label.
In addition to the efficiency class, this label also specifies the battery life per cycle and in charging cycles, reliability, repairability and the degree of protection against intrusion.
Mobile phones that are not smartphones and cordless phones do not require a label, but certain resource efficiency and information requirements must be met.
