The energy label for vacuum cleaner

Staubsauger - Bild 1

This label provides information about the energy efficiency of the declared appliances. When we buy a new small air conditioner, it is not only the purchase price that counts, but also the associated long-term electricity costs. With this label it is possible to identify the most energy-efficient models at a glance.

As of January 2015, the energy label for vacuum cleaners is mandatory. The label provides the energy efficiency class,  annual energy consumption, dust emission class, noise level and the cleaning class for carpets and hard floors to help customers choose the most appropriate device.

18.1.2019: The General Court of the European Union has annulled the Delegated Regulation (EU) 665/2013 on the energy labelling on vacuum cleaners. The provisions of the Swiss Energy Efficiency Regulation (EnEV), Annex 1.8, Section 4 are no longer legally binding.
Manufacturers and distributors are therefore allowed to place their vacuum cleaners on the market and sell them without an energy label. However, existing energy labels do not have to be removed.
