Energy label for heating appliances

Heizgeräte - Bild 1

The energy label for heating appliances with a maximum rated output of 70 kW was introduced in Switzerland in 2015 and was declared mandatory here on 1 August 2016.

With this label it is possible to readily check the efficiency of various heating appliances (e.g. boilers and heat pumps). Based on the label, minimum efficiency specifications are defined that are intended to be periodically tightened. Switzerland adopts the levels specified in the EU.

The energy efficiency of heating appliances is to a large extent influenced by proper installation and correct operation and maintenance.
