The Finance Committee acts as steering, co-ordination and supervisory body for the calculation of costs and payments. Its main duties are as follows:

• Requesting the calculation of disposal costs, examining these costs, calculating annual contributions.
• Submitting a five-year plan each year to the Administrative Board outlining the expected payments to be made and including a budget for the following year.
• Approving payment of non-budgeted expenses, as long as they form an integral part of the estimated costs, and requesting the Administrative Board to approve payment of costs that do not form an integral part of the estimated costs.
• Supervising the activities of the secretariat and specialists in association with cost calculations and payments.
