It is now possible to identify the energy consumption of a television set at a glance: the energy label contains a scale indicating the efficiency categories from A to G: A (green) = highest efficiency, G (red) = lowest efficiency. In Switzerland, all TV sets displayed for sale will be required to display this label as of 2013. The label also contains other valuable information regarding the annual energy consumption in kilowatt hours. It also indicates the screen diagonal and power consumption, and states whether the set is equipped with a genuine power switch.
